The Polish Endeavor

Poverty
Autocracy
We cannot endure
Our only hope lies in shipping our beloved like cattle.
Surely the Land of Promises will bear some fruit.
Enlightened by the lanterns of Kosciuszko and Pulaski
We scrape the bottom of the barrel
To find the slightest trace of opportunity.
For ages we toil
Struggling to spin silk into gold
Slowly we find our place.
Ability
Humility
We can now endure
Through the land we move
Pushing mountains into valleys.
We do not establish ourselves at the summit
But rather, inside our own homes
On our own land.
Chicago, New York, Pittsburg.
Now our children can learn
And we can live, among the rest.
Stability
Tranquility

We have endured.
